| Description | Ok, I promise I wont keep you all day reading this, but I have a lot of stuff to list off that this car has.
Starting with the 4.4L V8 engine straight out of Bavaria, you'll be kicking down the road at sixty miles per hour in about 5.6 seconds. At 325hp @ 6100 RPMs and 330 foot pounds of torque @ 3600 RPMs, this car was made to go fast. Though if you were to look at it, you would think it to be a luxury sedan. Well...it's both. With more standard features PLUS some extras, this car has Guts AND Glamour. Just to name a few extras you wont find on your run-of-the-mill family car I'll start with the power headrests. No more reaching behind your head with all of your might just to sit more comfortably. Also with extra leg support that will extend forward from the front seats, you feel more like the seat was made for YOU.
A feature you wont find in any other car other than the BMW is the iDRIVE system. Featuring navigation, climate control, entertainment and communication; all controlled by a small jog wheel convieniantly sitting where your hand sits on the console. Simply roll it back and forth, PUSH it back and forth and left or right OR even push it down. You can use it to make phone calls on your bluetooth phone, change your seat heater distribution or even get directions to a friends house. Just make sure you look at the road every once in a while or you might not be able to use that iDRIVE system anymore. Or your car for that matter.
Want the sport feel without the clutch? Use the six speed autoshift. Control when your tranny changes gears so you can smoke the competition.
Even though the massive size of the engine, you still get pretty good economy on the road. For you lead-footers, you'll get about 17 in the city, and if you obey the speed limit, you can get up to about 26 on the highway.
With adaptive drive and lighting, you can cut curves and your lights will follow. Also with them being HID's you can generally see better as it is. Projector fog lights also add to the drive to help you see what most other cannot in the dense fog.
Keep warm with the cold weather package as well. Heated seats, heated steering wheel and headlight cleaners.
I've spent a lot of time in this car myself and let me tell you this. I still don't know how everything works in it. Not that it is hard to learn, there is just much much more than most other vehicles.
Overall, this is a superb little sedan. Either showboat around town, or keep your family safe within BMW's spectacular safety ratings. Whichever you choose, you know this car will do what you want to do, and get you to where you want to go. Even in a hurry. |
